Grape variety : Gamay
Made by the “saignée” or ‘bleeding’ method: harvested and placed in the vats for 1 or 2 days, then then juice is run off before it takes too much colour from the skins. It has a marked salmon pink colour.
On the nose we find fresh fruit notes, mixed citrus and grapefruit; a distinctly crisp but aromatic introduction.
Alcoholic strength : 12°
This rosé is a wine to be shared and enjoyed; it can be drunk as an aperitif (perhaps as a ‘kir’ with grapefruit or sour cherry liqueur), with a barbeque or a mixed salad, altogether an excellent summer wine.
Serve at room temperature : 11 – 12°
