Our history

We trace our roots back to 1650 with our ancester Claude, but it is from 1855 that we truly specialised our viticultural practise at Château Préty.

Today we perpetuate with great passion this family tradition of wine-making at Saint-Vérand in our Burgundian and Beaujolais vineyards.

We will have pleasure to let you discover our wines, that represent the diversity and richness of our terroir.

Our vineyard

Our vineyard takes root around the site of Saint-Véran, at the conflences of Arlois and Préty rivers.

Saint-Véran, the Cavaillon bishop in the VI century, takes part to the Mâcon council in 585 and gives its name to this charming village of south Burgundy.

The letters « D » even « S » founded on old maps are probably only calligrapy fantasies.

For the wine, the historic name has been keeped.

A walk in Saint-Vérand offers a beautiful view : houses made of limestone, sandstone or granit give a wonderful color palette ranging from grey-pink to orange-pink up to golden yellow with some hints of cobalt-blue.

Here, the old-buildings lover and authentic landscapes will enjoy discovering these places with character.

Our wines

Wines are another goog reason to stop at Saint-Vérand !

Lands of granit, clay or limestone planted with Chardonnay, Gamay noir or Pinot.

Our wines are characterized by freshness and fruit, delicate tannins and roudness.
